On December 17, 2019, Diamond Bar City Council adopted the Diamond Bar General Plan 2040 (Resolution No. 2019-44) and Climate Action Plan 2040 (Resolution No. 2019-45). Diamond Bar City Council also certified the Final Environmental Impact Report for the General Plan and Climate Action Plan (Resolution No. 2019-46). The Environmental Impact Report ensures that environmental opportunities and constraints are identified and incorporated into the planning process, and it identifies policies that can mitigate any adverse environmental effects of other aspects of the plan. This site provides up-to-date information, including a description of the project, schedule, studies and presentations, public participation and input opportunities, and contact information.
We invite you to take a look around and share your vision for the future of Diamond Bar. Please check back often for updates on the planning process, announcements of upcoming meetings and other ways to participate, and to review draft documents.
At each stage, there are opportunities for community involvement and input. Community workshops are held for many tasks, and information about the General Plan will be available at venues and events around town. A General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) meets regularly to discuss issues and advise decision-makers; all are welcome to attend GPAC meetings. Study sessions of the City Council and the Planning Commission, focusing specifically on the General Plan Update process, are held periodically and are also open to the public.
